Part 2

Part 2
of our program contains five lessons, five assignments, and five examinations. Audio/visual links and presentations reinforce the subject matter. The second part of the program takes a closer look into the role of a Flight Attendant, complimenting the content from Part 1.

Lesson 2.1

Situations
This lesson will focus on dealing with emergency situations. It will explain how Flight Attendants are trained to deal with various scenarios. While the chances of something happening are slim, crew always need to be aware of their surroundings. They need to react at a moments notice and be observant at all times. “Situational awareness.”

Lesson 2.2

CRM
This lesson also known as Crew Resource Management, offers an explanation on how various factors can lead to serious consequences. It is so important that all crew members know their role and work effectively as a team. The lesson looks at how communication, human behavior, conflict and workload can all affect our performance.

Lesson 2.3

Airlines
This lesson gives you a better understanding of the airline industry in general. It compares the different types of airlines and explains current trends such as code sharing and alliances. One of the best parts lies within the PowerPoint slide show where you are able to save important links to airlines throughout the world. Use these airline contacts to research during your quest for employment. Knowing about an airline can assist you in making the right choice for your needs.

Lesson 2.4

Service
This lesson covers the complexities of airline service. It explains the differences in the various classes of service. It gives examples of airline service tips that Flight Attendants utilize when delivering service. More importantly is emphasizes the need to provide excellent customer service to your passengers. Without the customer, we would not have a job!

Lesson 2.5

Employment
This lesson is quite useful during your employment search. It includes subjects on examining how you view yourself, qualifications, cover letters, resumes/C.V’s, and how to prepare for your interview. This information will compliment that of Lesson 2.3 Airlines. In that lesson you will have already bookmarked useful airline contact information. Now it is time to get to your “other” full time job, GETTING HIRED!
